Career Advice Every Young Professional Can Follow

Young professionals have been key in developing the community we call home – sharing their voices and collaborating on philanthropic, volunteer and leadership initiatives.

 

It’s an exciting time and opportunity for young professionals to be involved with community groups like United Way’s Young Leaders, where they’ll get a chance to meet like-minded professionals, develop new skills and find meaning and value in helping our neighbors in need.

 

Young Leaders is a group of passionate young professionals who share a dedication for advancing community solutions. They advocate for the health and well-being of our community’s children and families and create innovative engagement and educational opportunities in the areas of health care, mental health, nutrition and fitness.

 

Throughout the year, members also take part in professional development through unique networking events, innovative leadership training and hands-on volunteer opportunities that bring a sense of responsibility and empowerment through working within the community.

 

On Feb. 6, Young Leaders is hosting our inaugural Young Leaders Awards at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The event, presented by TIAA, will honor young professionals in the greater Charlotte region who are making a difference in the community through civil service, neighborhood work, nonprofit groups, professional groups and more.
