United Way of Central Carolinas Hurricane Florence Assistance and Recovery

United Way of Central Carolinas is joining with United Way organizations across the region to provide support to those impacted by Hurricane Florence. During times of crisis, United Way takes on a variety of roles ranging from critical short-term assistance like connecting individuals to resources through NC 2-1-1, to mid-to-long-range recovery by securing resources to address unmet community needs.

United Way is also proud to partner with the American Red Cross, Salvation Army and many others who are helping with immediate relief efforts and evacuations, while laying the groundwork for the region’s long-term recovery.

NC 2-1-1 Offers Immediate Assistance

United Way’s NC 2-1-1 is a free hotline that provides information to individuals seeking community resources like shelter, food and water, recovery support, and other basic needs, before, during and after the storm. The service is available in 180 languages 24/7 by simply dialing 2-1-1 or visiting 211.org.

Hurricane Florence information and updates are also available by texting FLORENCE to 898-211.

Hurricane Florence Recovery Fund
