Local Anson County volunteers and United Way staff worked closely to create an impact strategy specific to the Anson County community. As a result of this work, the Anson County grant process will focus on strengthening and supporting work in the impact areas of Education and Economic Stability; providing much needed resources and services for our children and youth, individuals, and families.

Within these two impact areas, three specific services areas are identified as high priorities:

  1. Mentoring Programs for Youth
  2. Housing Stability
  3. Food Security (fresh, healthy foods)
The 2023 grant application process for Anson County is by invitation only and is currently underway. For information regarding future United Way funding opportunities in Anson County, please EMAIL US.
The Cabarrus County grants process seeks to support and strengthen Cabarrus County residents’ mental wellness through resources and strategies to improve mental health, greater understanding of crisis intervention strategies and supports, and expanded access to care.

Through the 2023 grants process, we seek to support up to five agencies that commit to entering into a highly collaborative partnership with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas to engage in community awareness and education efforts focused on:

  • Mental health literacy
  • Reducing the stigma of mental health diagnosis and treatment
  • Encouraging community members to prioritize mental wellness
  • Programs reducing barriers to access evidence-based, culturally appropriate mental healthcare
The 2023 Cabarrus County Grant application process kicked off in June 2022 with a required Letter of Interest. The process is currently underway and is no longer open to additional applicant agencies. For information regarding United Way funding opportunities in Cabarrus County, please EMAIL US.
Local Union County volunteers and United Way staff worked closely to create an impact strategy specific to the Union County community. As a result of this work, the Union County grant process will focus on strengthening and supporting work in the impact areas of Education, Economic Stability, and Healthcare; providing much needed resources and services for our children and youth, individuals, and families.

Within these impact areas, two specific services areas are identified as high priorities:

  1. Mentoring Programs for Youth
  2. Afterschool and vocational support for the Intellectual/Development Disability community
