Creating Community Connection Through Live United Days
Live United Day volunteer events are an opportunity for individuals to get involved in their communities in meaningful and impactful ways. Live United Days bring together residents and community members with volunteers to work on projects that benefit local neighborhoods, such as packing snack bags and hygiene kits, cleaning out old buildings, assisting with a community garden or beautifying landscapes.
By participating in Live United Days, volunteers get to immerse themselves into our United Neighborhoods communities. These communities are at the heart of United Way’s mission and each Live United Day is tailored to support the specific needs of residents in that area.
Volunteers are able to experience the vibrancy and resiliency of the communities and see the impact of their efforts first-hand while gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges their neighbors are facing. This experience helps volunteers build a stronger connection to the community, and they leave Live United Day events wanting to be advocates and ambassadors for their neighbors.
Live United Days are not just days for service projects; they are opportunities for individuals to engage closely with United Neighborhoods communities and understand their needs while building meaningful connections with residents and nonprofit partners.
