1 Coffee & Conversation

Super charge your morning at Coffee & Conversation. A signature of event of United Way’ Young Leaders, Coffee & Conversation is a morning to connect with fellow young professionals, while gaining insights from local leaders.

 

Dan Fogel, founder of SP3 and Wake Forest University professor, and Greg Beuris, Director of Investment Reporting for Foundation for the Carolinas, will lead a discussion on how nonprofits are using investments to make positive changes in the community.

2 – Silent Disco

LINC’s Silent Disco mixes a night of music and dancing with an innovative way to get informed about challenges in the Charlotte community. By now we’ve all heard that a child born in poverty in Charlotte has an almost impossible chance of getting out of it. But why? Put on your headphones and let’s find out!

 

Join us at Camp North End for this unique event. Lenny Boy Brewing Co. and several local food trucks will be onsite.

3- Board Training

Find out what it takes to be a successful nonprofit board member. Sponsored by Duke Energy, this interactive workshop features case studies, team challenges, and hands-on problem solving. You’ll leave with knowledge and resources about how to find the right nonprofit for your board service and how to be a dynamic board member.
