Celebrating Hope and Impact through Philanthropy

 

Recognizing the impact of United Way of Central Carolinas’ most generous individual donors and celebrating recent community impact achievements thanks to philanthropy were highlights of the ADT and Friends Spring Reception on May 11, 2021.

 

Highlights included:

 

  • United Way awarded $11.7 million in total grants to 119 agencies, including 33 Unite Charlotte partners and 24 United Neighborhoods partners.
  • Distributed $24 million from the COVID-19 Response Fund totaling 516 grants.
  • Two hundred thirty ADT Society members gave $1,736,036.
  • Truist has 38 ADT Society donors, the most of any corporate partner in our five-county footprint.

 

The virtual conversation featured a message of gratitude from United Way Board of Directors member Neville Poole and remarks from President and CEO Laura Yates Clark, who introduced three special guests from United Way partner agencies:

 

 

These talented, passionate leaders shared stories of triumph and tribulation during the past year and offered their perspectives on the support they have received from United Way to help accomplish their missions.
