LINC, which stands for Lead. Impact. Network. Change., strives to influence the community through fun projects and meaningful mission moments, all while networking with other young professionals over various social gatherings.

 

Here are four reasons you don’t want to miss LINC’s Silent Disco:

 

 

1– The cause

 

LINC’s Silent Disco will combine a night of music, dancing, and networking in an innovative way to encourage the community to turn up the volume on poverty in Charlotte.

 

In Charlotte, children born into poverty have a slim chance of getting out of it during their lifetime. Learn how you can help United Way address this challenge and positively impact our community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2– The concept

 

What exactly is a silent disco? It’s an event where people dance to music broadcast through wireless headphones rather than a speaker system. Anyone who doesn’t wear headphones won’t hear music, giving the effect of people dancing to silence.

 

LINC’s Silent Disco is powered by Silent Events, who will play top 40 hits spun by a DJ.

 

 

 

 

 

 

3– The food and drinks

 

No need to worry about missing dinner at LINC’s Silent Disco. You can purchase items from food trucks parked on site, including Cousins Maine Lobster of reality TV fame.

 

Plus, popular Charlotte micro-brewery Lenny Boy Brewing Co. will be on site selling some of its signature beverages.

 

 

 

 

 

4– The venue

 

Decades ago, Camp North End served as a manufacturing hub for Ford Model Ts and Army missiles.

 

Now the location is part of a significant project that’s converting the historic spaces into offices and retail spots for businesses, innovative artists, and young entrepreneurs in Charlotte. The site also includes space for community events, making it the perfect location for LINC’s Silent Disco.
