Announcing United Way’s CEO Search Partner and Next Steps

On behalf of the Board of Directors of United Way of Greater Charlotte, I want to thank our community, donors, volunteers and partners for your continued support and commitment to United Way during this important time of transition. As many of you know, Laura Yates Clark left United Way this summer to join Foundation For The Carolinas – we thank Laura for all she did to advance our important work and position the organization in the community as CEO over the past six years. As we advance the process to identify our next CEO & President, we are dedicated to finding a leader who shares our vision and values, and who will help us drive our mission forward over the coming years.

We are pleased to announce that we have selected Nexus Search Partners, a highly respected and experienced executive search firm, to be our partner in this critical process. Nexus has an excellent track record of recruiting executive leadership across several corporate industries and we are confident the firm’s nonprofit practice leaders will help us find the right individual to lead us into the future.

The search firm is working closely with the Board, staff, and key stakeholders to ensure a thorough, transparent, and inclusive process. They will also engage in discussions with various members of our community to gather insights on the leadership qualities and priorities we need in our next CEO & President. This input is invaluable as we move forward.

We are excited about the opportunities ahead and are committed to selecting a CEO & President who will build on our successes and lead us into the future with passion and purpose.
