As family and friends gather for the holidays, stories of the past are often shared with younger generations. Stories of hard work, triumphs and valuable lessons are passed down.

 

Unfortunately, for some of our neighbors, these stories are full of setbacks, tribulations and a lack of opportunity. They have faced unexpected life challenges or, even worse, are caught in a continuous cycle of poverty.
