The Power of Collective Giving on #GivingTuesday

For anyone who ever wished to have the power to make a really big impact on their community, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to do a world of good.

Last year, more than 3.6 million people from 150 countries joined together to raise $400 million on Giving Tuesday.

United Way of Central Carolinas stands ready to keep the momentum going this year to fuel the critical community cornerstones of education, health and financial stability here in the Charlotte region.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Taking place this year on December 3, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people in our community to rally around the causes they believe in and build stronger neighborhoods.

Established in 2012 in the U.S. as a celebratory kickoff to the holiday giving season, Giving Tuesday happens on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and has become a worldwide philanthropic event.

On Giving Tuesday, every single donation to United Way of Central Carolinas is amplified by the sheer number of people from our community joining in.

How You Can Make a Difference

The best part about Giving Tuesday? It doesn’t take a heroic effort to make an impact.

This year, join in to help power change for our community by making a gift to United Way of Central Carolinas—whether it’s your first time or you’ve participated before.

Donate the $5 you would spend each week on a cup of coffee and it can help a homeless family find housing. Or give the $10 you pay every month for online streaming services and it can help provide quality after-school programs.

Every donation matters. To us and to the others in our community who are coming together to fuel this collective force of giving.

Join the generosity movement of Giving Tuesday and help us power positive and lasting change for our community!
